KZN Industrial Forum

The KZN Industrial Hubs Investment Forum will focus on investment opportunities in KwaZulu-Natal and promote the development of Industrial Economic Hubs in key industrial sectors across the Province, including Agro-Processing, Auto Supplier Park, Clothing and Textiles, Electronics, Leather Processing, Processed Perishable Goods and Renewable Energy.

The event will count with the participation of Minister Rob Davies from the Department of Trade & Industry, Premier Senzo Mchunu, MEC Michael Mabuyakhulu, and national and international keynote speakers and industry experts from The World Bank, African Development Bank, and private organizations such as Toyota and McCain Foods.

This will be a great opportunity to:
•    Meet with KZN Government officials in one-on-one meetings specifically tailored to discuss particular business opportunities and investment plans;
•    Meet prospective local and international partners and find local investment opportunities;
•    Get new ideas and assess opportunities;
•    Network with relevant decision makers and connect with industry experts and innovators.

International Conference of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The University of KwaZulu Natal together with the Ethekwini Municipality welcomes all international delegates to the City of Durban in the first ever International Conference of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The Durban Innovation Hub will be represented by Founder, Nkululeko Mthembu who is a delegate and will be attending all processions for the 2 day conference.

Space Apps Challenge 2015

NASA and other space agencies around the world are preparing for the next International Space Apps Challenge. The International Space Apps Challenge is an international mass collaboration that takes place in cities around the world.

The event embraces collaborative problem solving with a goal of producing relevant open-source solutions to advance space exploration missions and improve life on Earth. NASA is leading this global collaboration along with a number of additional government collaborators and local partner organizations.

The Durban Innovation Hub has taken to hosting the first Space Apps Challenge Hackathon, a first for Durban.
